Finally got to Hawaii! Anne was here many years ago for a short visit with her parents & family, and we had a few hours layover on our way to American Samoa back in 1978, so it's about time for a couple of weeks to sample an island (the 'Big Island') after Anne's birthday. It's been fab! Warm, enough sun, interesting places, great visits with the King & Queen of beautiful beaches, Jeff and Jan, and wonderful lazing around!
I'll just add the odd pictures as the whim strikes (when I'm not too busy tanning), so expect randomness!

| A panorama of the 'turtle beach' just north of Kona, introduced to us by Jeff & Jan. The structures in the water are to provide spots for the sea turtles. Saw a number of them - gorgeous creatures - and the beach was just excellent for people too! |
